MIG/MAG welding as a standard in process robotization

The method involves locally melting the edges of the joined components (the base material) with the heat of the arc, while simultaneously applying filler metal, creating a weld pool that, once solidified, creates a permanent joint. The process is performed using devices commonly known as semi-automatic or MIG/MAG welding machines, or more accurately, MIG/MAG (131/135) welding sources. This method allows for welding a variety of materials thanks to the availability of various filler metals and the use of various process control mechanisms, such as those reducing energy, distortion, or spatter. Manufacturers also develop synergistic lines for specific joint configurations.

At our partners’ locations, we can conduct the pre-production phase, which allows us to validate the technology by making test joints or cutting welded components, allowing us to verify, modify, adapt, and ultimately ensure the correctness of the technological assumptions of the production process.
